'We are seeing an increase in the number of new properties launching and buyer enquiries are continuing to soar as a new air of confidence enters the market,' says Toby Littman, Sales Director at Robertson Smith & Kempson, Acton. 'The number of buyers out looking outweighs the available supply which has meant properties are selling fast and often have multiple bids on them. For example, we recently sold a family house on a desirable road which received multiple bids and sold for over the asking price. It's a competitive market at the moment and buyers and sellers need to be able to react accordingly.’
'The lettings team are finding the market to be incredibly lively and we have more tenants out looking than ever before,' says Altin Ismaili, Lettings Director at Robertson Smith & Kempson, Ealing. 'Over the last few months there has been a shortage of one bedroom apartments in particular, when this type of property becomes available they are being let straight away. As a result of this competitiveness we regularly deal with multiple offers and often achieve a result over the asking price for our Landlords. Recently more tenants are interested in securing managed properties, where they are likely to sign longer term tenancies. This is reinforcing our Landlords confidence in the market.’
